![]() ![]() So for the past 12 months I have been on that journey. I was looking for a coach of my own but started to realise that with my nursing background and everything I had learnt I could become the coach. Of course then the pandemic hit, life was tough.Ĭonstantly searching for answers as to how I could feel better, I read all things health and wellbeing, listened to every podcast and started to look in to coaching. Then we moved house, I fell pregnant again, gained another 3 stone, both me and my husband changed jobs, mine more sedentary and the exhaustion of sleepless nights with a baby and toddler really took its toll. With all of the positive change I had made I felt confident to expand our family and so came our first son, and 5 stone weight gain! It was pretty easy to shift, he breastfed constantly so there was no time for eating, and only napped in the pram so getting out for a walk twice a day was essential! ![]() That's not to say that I don't take any medications ever, I am a huge advocate of medication, but the seemingly chronic conditions I had started to ease, and then dissapear. I went from taking 7 different medications, one to counteract the last, to none. I started to drink a bit more water, walked outdoors with my now husband and dog, ate for my body and started to really focusing on how I could help my mind. I was permanently dehydrated, had migraines almost every other day, constant stomach pain, ate only when it was absolutely necessary and exercised to stay "skinny". A chance meeting with a life coach helped me to understand that I had more power over my life than I realised. For most of my adult life I had mindlessly mistreated my health, a lover of wine to relax after a busy shift, working unsocial hours and generally not thinking of how my actions resulted in how I was feeling, I was lost.
